​MISSION AND HISTORY
Founded in 2008.

The main mission of the Foundation is to facilitate the dissemination of quality short film and foster film appreciation and awareness among the general public about the local industry.
​
Our vision is to improve the modus operandi of the Malta Film Foundation in terms of management and visibility, increasing our outreach and platforms for film promotion both locally and internationally.
The Foundation is a non-profit making institution and any excess of funds received or generated from its activities must always be reinvested in the Foundation.

Increase collaborations with festivals and/or other organisations (both private and public) to increase dissemination possibilities

BUILD A BRAND
Build a brand for the Foundation and its main new events, the Malta Film Weekend and the Malta Youth Film Festival together with other events for a consolidated public image

PROMOTE THE MALTESE
FILM INDUSTRY
Promote quality Maltese films abroad through film festival participation

EXPAND
Work with different companies from the private sector to increase revenue and cross-promotion
